February SNB Update
We had a very productive work day
Saturday in Guymon. John Jowell continued to put the instrument panel back
together and it looks great. John has made several trips to Guymon to work
on this project and should be commended. There is very little room for
working and it is quite tedious. There is a
picture of the panel (partial) and
the renewed instruments look great!
Gregg Downing was able to put some
good time on the bulkhead . This piece of the project is critical due to
the fact that the tail wheel must be installed before we can move the
aircraft outside for some serious cleaning. Enough pieces have been removed
to make this cleaning thorough prior to assembling the parts taken off.
John Webb and Greg Kinnan freed the
bearings on the elevator and ailerons prior to lubrication. They then
removed the fuel tank straps and begin stripping and cleaning them.

process on the Dewline Squadron website at

January SNB Update
On
Saturday, 1-26-08, we had a work day in
Guymon for the C-45. Those going were, Jarrod Crandell, Sam Dean,
Bruce Graham and myself. We worked on several items including instruments,
the bulkhead in the tail section, window openings, fresh air duct for the
cabin and inspection and cleaning of the props. Greg Downing said he hoped
we would have the ole gal flying by summer. Our next work day may be
Saturday, February 9 but I will have to confirm that with Gregg and plan
around his schedule. The attached pictures show some of the work being
done. If you would like to help or if you know of someone who would like to
help, let me know. We always have a good time. John Jowell
